A city popular with adventurers and merchants, World’s End is the eastern-most city on the Continent and a member of the Free Cities. Triarian merchant princes, Borinquen conquistadors, and Wolfkin savages can all be found wandering its docks. The towers of the High Hold, famed for being tall enough to see across the Eastern Sea are named by the bard Alharad as one of the Wonders of the World. Ships approaching the sea can see the bright sweeps of light from the watch fires that shine nightly from its spires.
The wealth of the High Hold is legendary, but such wealth must be framed by abject poverty, and this is visible in the slums that lie around the city. For every merchant prince there must be ten ruined competitors, and thus the lower docks hold all of the shattered dreams of the city.
The slums are called the Low Docks and they are world reknown for their vice and hopelessness. Run by a shadowed confederation of dark guilds, called the nine, the Low Docks swear fealty to no king. It is well known that the High Merchant Prince of World’s End keeps his elite guard far from the streets. It is rumored that the High Prince himself is a vassal of the Nine.
